National Coming Out Day

BlocHaus and Climbing QTs celebrate National Coming Out Day!

We are proud to collaborate with BlocHaus Bouldering (Marrickville) to nurture an environment that’s welcoming to all humans regardless of their gender identity or sexuality. Our aim is to create space for LGBTQ+ folk to be themselves & feel supported to learn new skills, participate & find a sense of belonging in the Haus.

In support of the LGBTQ+ community, this ‘come & try’ welcomed everyone! There were snacks, name and pronoun sticker and BlocHaus Inclusion Champions Kim (they/them) & Steff (they/them)!

In acknowledging this day it’s important for us to recognise that not everyone in our LGBTQ+ community can ‘come out’ & live their true selves. We say no to homophobia, transphobia & any other form of sexist, racist or ableist bullying, harassment or discrimination. We say yes to having fun, encouraging others, crushing projects, respectful behaviour & sharing beta.
