They/Them Screening for Sydney World Pride presented in partnership with Patagonia (NSW)

World Pride touched down in Sydney, NSW this year and to celebrate ClimbingQTs partnered up with our friends and frequent collaborators Patagonia Australia to host our very own Pride filled event!

March 1st saw Patagonia’s CBD Sydney store packed to the rafters with climbers and community, coming together for a special screening of queer climbing doco ‘They/Them’; which follows trans climber Lor into the sandstone canyons of northern Arizona, on a journey to piece together one of the hardest and most inspiring routes of their life.

It wouldn’t be a ClimbingQTs event without some presentations, chats and shenaniganry from a few special guests (as well as drinks, rainbow cupcakes and fun giveaways)! Hosted by climber, artist and performer Jes Layton (he/she), this Sydney World Pride event featured accomplished climbing guest Esther Renita (they/them) and Mums Gone Climbing Sydney Rep Eva Rosenbaum (she/her), as they dove deep into community building, role models, and feeling a sense of belonging and bravery in the outdoors and on the wall.

Keep an eye out for the cute snaps of this event over on our Instagram and Facebook
